The release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is just weeks away and the third and last W.O.M.B.A.T. test is now available on JK Rowling's web siteopens in new window.

According to the site:

The Grade 3 WOMBAT is the final examination, and the most difficult. Not only is the subject matter much more advanced, but the examination is also more stringently marked. Certain answers will LOSE YOU MARKS, so choose carefully...

To see how to access the test please highlight the text below:

---====
  • 1. Click on the eraser on the main page.
  • 2. Click on the fly, which turns into a key.
  • 3. Drag key to the door and insert into the lock on the door.
  • 4. On the table you will see a line, a circle and a triangle.
  • 5. Stack them in the following order: place the circle on the line and then the triangle on the circle (so that it looks like the symbol on the children's UK cover).
  • 6. Click this symbol.
  • 7. Click the paperwork and begin the test.
====---

Thanks to Sir Wallis for the news. Also, some people may still see the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. Please be patient and it should work later today or you can clear out your browser's cache or go directly to the UK siteopens in new window to take the test.

I'm very excited, but it's taking a long time to check my code, too! I don't even remember what I did on the first two--OK, but not as well as I'd hoped. I'm still waiting on the code check!

emma braxton- You just have to click it and hold it down, but if you can't catch the fly use the .net or .org versions of the site!

Just tried to take the Wombat again, and NOTHING will happen with the fly! I've tried the .net and .org versions, the UK version, cleaning cookies..., and nothing works. My patience is running quite thin now.

Erm, I only took the first WOMBAT and neglected to take the second one. She says it's hard, and I remember that the first one was not too easy. Well, I guess it can't be that bad. I'll try...

I thought the test was actually pretty hard. I don't think I did that well. Most of those questions I had never even seen before. I honestly don't envy the students at Hogwarts for having to take tests like that.

I just did it and its pretty tough... Too much application... I guess if you study about what all the Latin words mean, then you might be able to get the answers, but its still a hard test. I did better in the last test- O!

I took the test last night. I missed the first two because of my IP carrier. I'm glad I don't have AOL anymore or I would have missed this one too. I thought the first section was hard. I hope I guessed right. I thought the rest was pretty easy. I checked to see my results but the arrow is still on the upper line. I noticed if you don't line the symbols up just right it'll take forever. ;)
