What a great surprise for Harry Potter fans. The door
on JK's site has now been opened, but of course there are things you need to do to get to the prize.
If you really don't want to do it yourself, highlight the area below for the complete solution:
Go to JKRowling.com
. Click on the eraser on her desk.
Congratulations to all who have guessed the name - now please don't spoil it for others. You can discuss more on this news here
in our forums.
UPDATE: Bloomsbury, the UK publisher of the books have confirmed
on their web site that the title of book 7 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with no publication date announced.

The name sounds like the name of a Graveyard to me.
I could elaborate, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone. I can't wait for the publication date.
Thank you so much, Jo, for this great Christmas present!

Im am so excited by the reveal of the title of book 7. HP and the Deathly Hallows really opens up alot of possibilities. I am so excited for the release of the book but on the other hand I can wait because once this book comes out it's officially over (until the movie).

I actuall agree with what several other people have said: When I first saw the title after the hangman game, my first reaction was that it wasn't real. I don't know why, probably just because it's new and I'm not used to it yet. However, I don't think JKR would ever give us a fake title, like some other fans seem to. How cruel of her would that be!

What a wonderful Christmas present! Thank you JKR. Now let the theorising... begin!
The only thing I can think of is Halloween, or as it used to be known "All Hallows Eve". Older traditions believed it was one night in the year when the dead could return to the Earth.

The "UPDATE" seems to ruin it for the others.
I, thankfully didn't read that and went on to find it
myself, but.. please edit the update
so that people won't see the exact name on the update!
And as always, thanks for the news!
