In a recent interview with Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) from the Harry Potter movies, Matt shares some information from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie.
Matt describes Imelda Staunton's portrayal of Professor Umbrdige as "...the nastiest person you'll ever meet, on film." He also states that his character will have much more interaction with the main cast of characters (Harry, Ron and Hermione), discusses the differences in the screenwriters and describes some of his scenes from Goblet of Fire.

Awesome! I was hoping they'd do Umbridge right since she is one of the easiest characters to detest. I'm happy Neville is going to be in more scenes, which holds true to the books, and Matt Lewis has never done Neville wrong :)

She shouldb e portrayed as horrible since she is described so in the book. I wonder if they will still so the sickenly sick sweet voice or that she seems to talk down to everyone.

I agree with him on the parts with Professer Umbridge... she is twisted, nasty, and mental, but he forgot 1 major thing... she looks like a fat toad!!!*laugh!* That is great that he is challenging his acting skills, because he is such a great actor. Who will really have to step up in OotP!!! If yall have read the book then you know how big his part is in this movie. I think he will pull it off though.

It's great to hear Matty Lewis's version of events from the set. Neville is definately one of my fave characters and it's great to hear that he'll be interacting more with the trio, looking forward to hearing more.

It sounds better all the time. It is really nice to see his character come alive and hear that the movie is coming along so well. I am sure he is really pleased that his character is begining to shine.

I'm really glad that Neville is going to have more weight in the next movie, he's such an important character, I've really felt that they've started leaving out some of the more major minor plot strands that hold everything together.

I'm so excited about this movie! I can't believe they're making us wait until next year. I am glad that Matt will have more screentime in this film...I think he works really well with the main three and portrays Neville perfectly.

In the book she is the nastiest person ever, so im glad she's nasty in the film too.
I hope she's not too nasty though..reading her torture Harry in the book was bad enough...

um...that's great! I thought she was evil and nasty in the book, and I was taken aback when she was cast as Umbridge in the film, but if Matt Lewis says she's doing great, then she probably is!
