Harry Potter actor Alan Rickman
(Prof. Snape) recently appeared at the Berlin International Film Festival, where his film Snow Cake opened the festival.
The film stars Sigourney Weaver as an emotionally erratic autistic who Rickman befriends after an accident. No release date has been announced as of yet.

See, I think he does Snape beautifully and expertly. But I don't "see" the Snape of the book as Rickman. Rickman has, for better or worse, a kind of presence that is supposed to elude Snape. You know, that classy aura of sorts. I don't know. I think he makes Snape on screen much more palatable than the Snape of the books.

Rickman's a great actor! He's the perfect Snape. He acts out his character just the way almost everybody imagines the real Snape does - his voice seems cold and dark. Hopefully, he'll reprise his roles in all future Harry Potter films.

Blimey. He looks old. But cheerful. I really hope we can see him in the movie, because his white hair will be transformed into those greasy locks we adore so much. ;) If I wasn't a Harry Potter fan, I would not have even reconized him. Snape and him look pretty different.
