Barnes & Noble announced
today that actor and Harry Potter audio book reader Jim Dale will host a midnight event to celebrate the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in New York City on July 15.
Jim Dale, the famed actor responsible for bringing the Harry Potter characters to life on audio books and winner of the Audie Awards' prestigious 2004 Audio Book of the Year for his work on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will host the Midnight Magic Party at the Union Square Barnes & Noble (33 East 17th Street) in Manhattan.
Special in-store events and parties are being planned for more than 660 Barnes & Noble stores across the country.

It's cool to know that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix got audio-book of the year! I didn't know that! Guess that proves that you learn something new everyday!

Awr, that is cute! I've only heard him read from a distance (when my stepdad listened to OotP on tape) but it'd be cool to see him, if that were possible. Only I don't like New York and have no way to get there anyway.

So being a New Yorker has finally paid off! Just kidding, I love New York. I bet that going to be insane. I've already ordered mine from Amazon to come in the mail so a bookstore party is out of the question. Unless I just show up to one anyway for fun. My parents would never let me go to the one in Union Square, especially because its going to be packed.
