This year's Emmy nominations were announced this morning and Harry Potter stars Emma Thompson
, Alan Rickman and John Cleese have each been nominated for an Emmy Award.
Ms. Thompson was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie for HBO's Angels In America, Mr. Rickman for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie for Something The Lord Made also from HBO and John Cleese for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series for his guest appearances on Will & Grace.
The awards show will air on ABC on Sunday, September 19.

I saw the nominations this mourning on the Early show I was real happy to see all three were nominated, Although I haven't seen their performances, they all got high marks. Good Luck to all of them.

Congratulations to everyone! I usually try and watch the Emmy's, but usually I'm working or something like that. But I will be rooting for our own HP actors in their non-HP roles anyways!!

All of these are well deserved. The actors are all good, and it is nice to see that the movies continue to attract strong talent. It helps to attract new viewers to the films.

That is really cool! John Cleese was fantastic on Will & Grace - he made the series more fun. I don't have HBO so I haven't seen the mini-series that Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson were nominated for. I guess I have a reason to watch the Emmy'st this year! Good luck guys!

That is excellent news. They are highly deserving actors and I hope that they all win in their respective categories. I don't usually watch the Emmy's but maybe I keep my eye out when they come out. The Oscar's are ages away though but I am interested to see if they can win any awards there.

I hope Dan, Rupert and Emma all get nominations for hp3!! Especially Dan, He is such a great actor, not to mention being the best looking teenager in the WHOLE world and having the best ever personality....I can go on!!
By the way, i just wanted to say everyone, last week i went to Barcelona (where Dan has recently been) and went to the same theme park (Port Aventura) and went on the same rollercoaster (Dragon Khan) that he has been on!!! This just makes me SOOO HAPPY!
