The new director, Alfonso Cuaron, is fitting in
very well, according to Dame Maggie Smith
, otherwise known as Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter films.
"He’s just enchanting," said the actress, who once again plays the shape-shifting Professor McGonnagall.
"He’s great and the children get on very well with him. He has a very thick accent but they’re all very, very fond of him and he’s like a kid himself. He’s a great joy on the set and Chris Columbus is still there to keep a continuity with the children, because they would have been very lost without him."

I'm really glad to hear that he is fitting in really well with the cast. I wonder why he doesnt plan to direct the fourth movie though.

I think that Alfonso is going to be the best director for this because it is a book where all of the characthers start to mature.

He probably just doesn't want to limit himself to Harry Potter, as great as a movie series it will be. It takes a huge commitment, as Chris Columbus said several times.

Wow I'm very happy for him I thought that he wasn't going to do a good work after his movie Y Tu Mama Tambien I thought that Harry Potter was going to be not a good movie. I was happy when I heard that Chris Columbus was going to be one of the pruducers. I saw a interview of him taking very good of Alfonso and now I hear this and have no doubt of him.

It's really good that they get along so well- It would probably not make a very good movie if they didn't get along. I can't wait to see the differences between the two directors, I think it will be very interesting. Magical Me- yeah, robes would be nice, all the pictures don't seem to have them in robes.

Did you see those dogs? Frightening. I’m glad they are getting along. Once they got over the thick accent, I’m sure easier to follow him. Makes it easier for them since he like a kid himself... I’m glad that Chris Columbus is helping with the film. Should be great! Can’t wait until June!

Well, i think this movie is gonna be really great under his direction. Since he is like a kid himself, i think he knows exactly how it should appeal to people of all ages. He is definatly putting a new twist to the movie, which is good, its nice to have a change once in a while. I can't wait till June 4th!!!! It's too bad that Cuaron is not staying for the 4th movie too.

You know what I want more than anything? Directors Commentary - or even JKR commenting during the film...I want that on the next DVD (is there anywhere I can email and request these people think about it?)

I think so much of Maggie Smith. She is a great actress! If she says it, then it *must* be true! This can only mean that the movie will be superior. If the filming was fast, and everyone had fun and got along... yada, yada.
Open, open, open.... I can't hang around here all day waiting for the movie. poof!

Well, I'm glad the cast likes him. I have been wondering about him and the writers and such ever since they cut Oliver Wood. I always wondered what else they might cut. I still do. But I know, it's a movie and they have to compress that whole book into like 3 hours. Still... But it's a good sign that he is well liked, I guess. So I hpoe this movie is as good as, or maybe even better than the first two. :)

Cuaron is great and I'm so happy he is getting along with all the members of the film, he was soo happy when they were asking him how does it felt to be the new Harry Potter directo (I saw this in the latin warner brother channel) and he couldn't speak right, he was too happy that he started to babble, very nice.
I don't know where I read that even though he might not direct book four, he might be up for book five, I'm going to look for it again, I'm sure I read it somewhere.

Here is my deal with this Alfonso guy. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I dont think I like him. I know this is very rude to say, as I have not seen what he is going to do, but he is taking out major characters, and I am afraid he is goign to mess up the plot. Thiis my suspicion, but still. He already took Oliver Wood out, which means, I am assuming, means he is taking quiditch out, becasue you cannot play quiditch with out a keeper. Then he takes Cho out, which solidifies my idea that he is taking quiditch out. Quiditch is a big part, ya know?

It's good that the cast seems to be getting along fine with the director, that is always important to not only have an understanding between them but a connection and common idea.
