Although the Emmys won't be handed out until September 21, the nominations have already been announced, and none other than Dame Maggie Smith is included in the list of nominations
. She was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie category for her role as Mrs. Delahunty in the HBO miniseries My House In Umbria.

Maggie Smith is a wonderful actress, and I've been a fan of hers since before Harry Potter (What? There was life before Harry Potter? LOL). I don't have a TV so haven't seen the minseries but I bet she was fantastic. I hope she wins!

Yea, Maggie! You rock!!!!! I just think she is wonderful. I loved her in the Ya Ya Sisterhood... I almost didn't recognize her. Especially got a kick out of the Southern accent! She was maaaaarvelous!

Congrats to Dame Maggie Smith! She deserves any commendation there is. She is magnificent in all roles she plays and even better in HP, I do hope that she continues to act as McGonagall in the rest of the series.
