'Harry Potter' ultimate editions
'Harry Potter' ultimate edition DVD's announced
Following the report that "Harry Potter" extended editions were expected to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray, we can now confirm that this is indeed the case, with all eight films set to be released as "Ultimate Editions," and "Sorcerer's Stone" and "Chamber of Secrets" set for a release date of December 8.

'HBP' DVD to be released on Dec. 7 in the UK
Yesterday we announced when the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD would be released in the U.S. and France, now we can tell you that the DVD will be released on December 7th in UK.

'HBP' DVD cover
'Half-Blood Prince' DVD to be released on Dec. 8 in U.S.
Warner Home Video has officially announced that the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD will be released in the U.S. on December 8th. As expected the DVD will be released in 1-disc DVD, 2-disc DVD, and 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo formats. Update: The DVD will be released in France on November 18th.

Harry over 'Wizarding World'
Universal unveils 'Wizarding World of Harry Potter' attraction details
Actor Tom Felton ("Draco Malfoy" in the "Harry Potter" films) was on hand to help Universal Orlando Resort announce specifics of the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" attraction today. The park unveiled a fly-through video showing the major points of interest, new concept art and more.

Filming equipment
'Deathly Hallows' filming taking place in Liverpool
Crew from the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" movie are currently filming the movie at the mouth of the Queensway Tunnel in Liverpool for the next four days. Warner Bros. has mentioned that no main cast members will be on-site for the duration.

At a recent "Harry Potter" convention, MuggleMayhem, actor Joshua Herdman (Gregory Goyle in the film series) revealed the point at which the split of the two "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" movies is expected, as well as changes to the script involving his character.

'Harry Potter' films to get special extended releases
The recent MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) film ratings bulletin included the news that "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Extended Edition" had received a PG rating. In a follow-up to this news, Warner Brothers has confirmed that all "Harry Potter" films shall receive a special, extended edition DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Filming equipment
'Deathly Hallows' filming preparations at Bovingdon Airfield
Images have emerged online from the Bovingdon Airfield in England, showing what is reported to be preparations for filming on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." While nothing has been confirmed, speculation is that this is for continued filming of the Seven Potters scene, which began filming weeks ago.

Pictures have emerged online showing the stunt doubles of Harry and Hagrid filming scenes on Sirius' motorbike. Update: 'HBP' takes in $396.7 in worldwide ticket sales; breaks international IMAX record
In its first five days in domestic release in the U.S., "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" grossed $158 million, while having the biggest overseas opening of all time with $237 million worth of tickets sold. Update: To add to the amount of the money that the movie has taken in, it also broke a record by taking in $3.6 million from 62 international IMAX theaters.

Update: Opening day tally for 'HBP' is $104 million
Upon opening Wednesday, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" raked in $58.18 million in the U.S. ($22.2 million at midnight) and another $45.85 million internationally, for a one-day grand total of $104 million, plus a couple of new records.

Finally, "Harry Potter" fans in the U.S. will have a chance to view the documentary "J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life." The show, which originally aired in the UK late last year, will be shown at 9 pm on ABC tonigh.

'Half-Blood Prince' grosses $22.2 million at midnight
The juggernaut that is "Harry Potter" continues to take in money at U.S. box offices. With the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" movie opening in movie theaters across the country last night ticket sales have soared, so much so that the movie had the biggest midnight gross of all-time in earning $22.2 million on Wednesday.
