After Harry and Cho's kiss, Hermione asks harry and Ron if they have any idea of how Cho's feeling, and and hermione goes into great detail of how Cho is so sad about Cedric dying and worried she'll get kicked off the quidditch team. Uh...hello? Harry and Ron should have some idea of how Cho is feeling at the moment. Just two chapters ago ron expressed how badly he felt about his quidditch hardships. harry has had to write lines this year, got expelled (although Dumbledore cleared his name), witnessed Cedric's death, got kicked off the quidditch team...he has even more reason to feel stressed! Seriously, what is up with these guys?!

That's not really the point Hermione was trying to get across.
She was trying to get Harry and Ron thinking about underlying issues that may have caused Cho to become very emotional, instead of Harry and Ron assumming she is crying because of Harry's bad kissing. Of course Harry can relate to Cho (in theory, anyway) when it comes to stressing and grieving, but crying whilst having a first kiss and refusing to explain why is going to send the wrong message. |

Well, they're guys, so sometimes ( not to say all times), boys ( and even girls) don't think so deeply. They think of the now. So, Ron and Harry were wondering if she was crying because of bad kissing, but Hermione saw straight through that ( knowing or at least imagining how Cho must feel ( sad, guilty, etc...)). She saw all that and then knew what to tell the boys. Boys tend to handle stress a little differently than girls do. Ron and Harry wouldn't see it that way.
